Winter is a time of transformation. Yes many things "die" in the winter but this is not the end. Remember there is a cycle. Essentially, the end is really a new beginning. So if you or someone else that you know is going through there winter, remember that there still is hope. Be patient with them or even yourself and know that something beautiful is in the making.
We often focus on the negative sides of winter but there are so many great things about winter. First, winter is cold; this cold is a time of preservation. So even though a person may be going through things they are not being destroyed or spoiled--who they are is still intact. Next, during the winter there is snow. Snow is white and pure, and it contains more water than rain. The snow becomes a blanket or comforter during these seemingly desolate times. The water helps to generate a renewal in our environment which is also needed for the transformation. When a person is in their winter they may shed more tears or you may shed more tears for them. Remember water is what life needs in order to sustain itself.
In closing, winter maybe a difficult time but it is not always the end but may actually be a new beginning.
